Earned Income Tax (Wage Tax)


The Tax Office is no longer the collector of wage tax for the City of Arnold or New Kensington- Arnold School District. This is a result of implementation of Act 32 of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, which has required all taxing entities within the state to move to a countywide tax collection system for wage taxes. The new collector is Berkheimer Associates.

City & County Property Tax Payment Periods


The City of Arnold City and County property tax bills are mailed together and have the same due dates. These two bills are mailed the last week of February. The due dates are as follows:


Discount Period: 2% from March 1st through April 30th

Face Period: May 1st through June 30th

Penalty Period: 10% penalty from July 1st through December 31st.



School Property Tax Payment Periods


These bills are mailed the last week of July. The due dates are as follows:


Discount Period: 2% from August 1st through September 30th

Face Period: October 1st through November 30th

Penalty Period: 10% penalty from December 1st through December 31st


Homestead Exemption (only applies to School taxes)


You can apply for the Homestead Exemption if the property you are being billed for taxes is your PRIMARY residence. The application must be file prior to Mar 1 for the current tax year. Once filed and approved, you do not have to continue to request this exemption. All homestead properties in the same school district will receive the same size exclusion, if approved. Also, if approved for the Homestead Act, your School Property Taxes may be made in 3 equal payments due:
